Warhammer 40,000

Ah, the game I love to hate.

When I was a Junior in High School a friend of mine introduced me to Games Workshop and Citadel Miniatures table top game “Warhammer 40K”. I was immediately hooked. The skill of the people at GW was astounding to me at the time. These little plastic and metal models were a wonder to behold when assembled and painted. I spent that school year and summer collecting and playing tabletop games with my circle of friends. It was awesome….

However, all good things must come to an end. The next school year I found myself moving away to another state, far from the fellow gamers I had come to know so well. And so the novelty wore off. I stopped playing the gameĀ and I sold all of my armies that I had collected.

Fast forward about a decade. I found myself walking into a Comic Book Shop and staring at the multitude of Citadel Miniatures contained therein. After some peer pressure from the patrons I decided to get ‘back in the game’ so to speak. I purchased a Necron Battleforce and I have spent the better part of two months getting them ready for war.

So I sit here painting my current army, wondering just how long it will take for me to lose interest again.

To be continued…..
